Reconstitution calculator
Convert a previously established amount to volume and units on a U-100 scale. This tool performs mathematical conversions. It does not determine what amount a person should use.
U-100 mark
—units
—Concentration (mg/ml)
—Theoretical amounts per vial
Theoretical calculation based on the vial contents and the entered amount. It does not account for potential product loss or residue. Visual representation of a U-100 scale. Always verify the graduations on the syringe being used.
How is it calculated?
- 1. Concentration = vial mg ÷ diluent ml.
- 2. Volume = amount in mg ÷ concentration.
- 3. On a U-100 scale, 1 ml equals 100 units.
Understanding units
- 1 mg equals 1,000 mcg.
- mg and mcg express the amount of compound.
- ml expresses volume.
- On a U-100 scale, 100 units correspond to 1 ml.
- U-100 units do not represent milligrams of the compound.
Important information
- This calculator performs mathematical conversions only from the values entered.
- It does not recommend an amount, determine what amount is appropriate for a person, or replace the evaluation or guidance of a qualified healthcare professional.
- Always verify the actual concentration and the product-specific information before using any result.
